Why is our mental health so important?
GREAT LEADERS REQUIRE SELF-AWARENESS.
This means becoming more aware of, understanding and taking responsibility for our beliefs, thoughts, actions and behaviours (ie. looking after our mental and emotional health).
We believe that as queer people, our mental health and well-being will play a fundamental role in enabling us to reach our full growth potential as a community.
Why is self-care important?
LGBTQ+ WELLBEING NEEDS ARE UNIQUE.
The current mental health epidemic within the LGBTQ+ community demonstrates the distinct lack of easily accessible and effective long-term well-being solutions and preventative support available.
Most of us are likely to have been affected or conditioned to some degree from growing up queer in a heteronormative society.
We need to start addressing the unique well-being and mental health needs of our community, long before issues become life-threatening.

The path towards healing our community starts with YOU and ME. As individuals we need to take responsibility for the part we play in shaping the world.
We need to be able to spot our own triggers. We need to find self-care tools that work for us, and commit to healthier ways of engaging with ourselves, and each other. Only then can we start to make an impact on the wider community, grow as people, and reach our own unique potential.
The good news is that we don't need to go on this journey alone, and it doesn't have to feel so heavy. We believe that getting to know yourself should be playful and fun!
