Beatriz

Bea is a queer, non-binary sociologist, community builder and fibre artist based in Madrid. Born and raised in London to Spanish parents, they bring a bicultural perspective to their work, often exploring class struggle and the lived realities of LGBTQ+ communities across the UK and Spain. Living with ADHD, Bea is also passionate about neurodivergence, health, and accessibility, and is committed to making community care and support more inclusive. They hold a first-class degree in Sociology from the University of Leeds and a Master’s in Gender Studies focused on health and diversity. Their work is grounded in solidarity, lived experience, and the belief that collective liberation must include everyone. Alongside this, Bea knits and creates with fibre as a form of everyday activism — rooted in self-sufficiency, care, and the politics of making things by hand, not for profit but for personal enjoyment, connection, and collective wellbeing.
