Gayathiri

Gayathiri is a Tamil, disabled poet and organiser. As a child of refugees, they're interested in how language shapes belonging and how we might use it to queer the future. Gayathiri has spoken on decolonising literature, queerness, access and sex education for Bloody Good Period, Audible, Sex Money Power with Sara Pascoe and UK Black Pride. Gayathiri runs the poetry workshops WORD-BENDERS at The Common Press and Queer Poetry Sauna at Hackney Sauna Baths. They’re a co-author of Sex Ed: An Inclusive Teenage Guide to Sex and Relationships. Their debut novel in verse is forthcoming with Faber.
