(they/them) Bex Bex is a trans non binary photographer based in London. For almost two decades, their work has documented queer lives in all their power and complexity. Bex began their career as a self-taught photographer documenting the clubs and parties of the LGBTQIA+ scenes in the UK and New York, before moving from the club into the street, documenting Pride and protest worldwide. In recent years, Bex has gravitated towards overlooked queer stories, refocusing on those minoritised within the LGBTQIA+ community. With a special focus on the trans community, Bex is one of the foremost documenters of the trans experience in the UK. Bex’s work worked for clients such as VICE, British Vogue, The New York, Minority Rights Group International, the UN, Dr Martens, Google and Getty. Most recently their work has been acquired by the Victoria & Albert Museum and multiple works will now reside in their extensive photography collections in addition to being exhibited permanently in the Young V&A. (they/them) Sabah Sabah, a proud and passionate trans, brown, and hairy activist, is the co-founder of Trans Pride Brighton in 2013, and was celebrated in 2015 as one of the most influential LGBT people in Britain. Their extensive work and presence spans across the UK and Europe, including speaking at TEDx Brixton , ILGA Europe , and IDAHOT Brussels . Sabah has been a youth worker for trans youth since 2014 and is currently at Gendered Intelligence , a trustee for Inclusive Mosque Initiative , and co-founder of Colours Youth Network , which supports LGBTQ+ POC young people in the UK. In 2021, Sabah won the Gay Times Future Fighters Honour and was named National Advisor for LGBT Health Award in 2022. Their interests include fostering cats and talking to houseplants. (she/her) Nour Nour is a Syrian Refugee Activist, Feminist, Humanitarian Worker, and Inclusion Advisor. During the Syrian war, she provided urgent services for displaced people and worked on long-term peacebuilding. In 2015, she founded a non-profit to support Syrian women, youth, and marginalized queer people through art, creating a space for emotional well-being and development for people from diverse backgrounds. Nour completed her Masters in Violence, Conflict and Development from SOAS University of London and has over 8 years of experience in humanitarian, inclusion, and refugee sectors. She now works as a Senior Engagement and Advocacy Manager for an International network that supports refugee children and their families in countries of crisis. Additionally, she does inclusion advisory and consultancy work for refugee charities, funders, and research bodies to create more equitable and inclusive systems. (she/her) Joela-Abiona Joela is the founder of the Stonewall Protests - a collective of organizers who center Black Trans Liberation by working towards the expansion of mutual aid, abolitionist teaching and anarchy. She is also a social media educator, creating posts that spread the truths we were not taught. Joela’s passion for abolition is not only rooted in the experiences she had being born and raised in the Bronx but by the wisdom she received being raised by her Puerto Rican and Trinidadian parents. She began her revolutionary work in the wake of George Floyd’s murder and the rebirth of the Black Lives Matter Movement - with her central message being “abolition is liberation.” Through her work as an abolitionist, she found the strength and freedom to begin socially and medically transitioning. This freedom is what fuels her drive to spread radical love, hold people accountable, be compassionate, remain in humility and work towards the abolishment of police, militaries, governments and capitalism. He has since then accessed his true identity as a trans man, and has become passionate about the power and wisdom that the body holds. He facilitates the trans and non-binary group at the LGBTQ+ centre in Barcelona and became a meditation, breathwork and QiQong instructor, bringing these practices to his corporate team and direct community as often as he can. In addition to his activism, Logal is also a gifted singer-songwriter and writer, using his art to explore themes of identity and intersectionality.
