She publicly came out as a lesbian at the age of 50 through her debut book, 'Untold Lies' , which made headlines in India. Since then, she has been a vocal supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and created positive LGBTQ+ content. With over 30 years of experience in media, events, and entertainment industries in various countries, including India, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, New Zealand, and the UK, Raga has received numerous prestigious awards. She currently holds several Trustee and Board roles in the UK and India, including as the Chair of Trustee of the London LGBTQ Community Centre and on the Steering Committee & Management Team of the Gay India Network (GIN) London UK. Raga's personal coming out journey has been featured internationally across various media channels, including BBC India in 2022 in several Indian regional languages. In 2022, she was shortlisted as the 'Woman of the Year' by the Asian Achievers Awards and received the Woman of Courage award at the UK Houses of Parliament. He is a founder and leader of a queer World Cinema society that celebrates the work of marginalised filmmakers outside the European narrative. Currently, Yujx is working for a large international company and helps lead his workplace's Pride Employee Resource Group UK Chapter. Apart from his professional commitments, he takes a keen interest in sociological and political theories, particularly anti-fascism, queer liberation, and trauma recovery. Yujx acknowledges Leslie Feinberg's lecture 'Beyond Pink and Blue' as a key influence on his life and work. Furthermore, he is an avid creator of art, including painting, poetry, and prose, exploring intersectional masculinity and the 'gay lament'.
