(he/she/they) Ale Ale was born in a small town in Venezuela to Spanish-Venezuelan parents and raised in the Catholic faith–they identify as trans non-binary. With a diverse background that includes work as an electronic engineer, fashion advisor, customer care assistant, and software testing consultant manager, Ale has always been drawn to activism and advocating for marginalized groups. In Venezuela, Ale's activist work included fighting for the inclusion of people with HIV/AIDS in the social security system. Ale also spent a decade training to become a Catholic priest, doing pastoral work with marginalized groups in Venezuela, Italy, the USA, and Belgium. Currently living in the UK, Ale continues to collaborate with LGBTQ+ groups to promote diversity and inclusion both inside and outside of the workplace. In addition to their activism and advocacy work, Ale has also developed strong leadership skills and a passion for workplace allyship.
