(they/them) Cécile Cécile is a researcher in the field of satellite positioning (GPS) at the German Space Centre (DLR) in Munich. At DLR, Cécile has developed a number of activities related to diversity and inclusion as the co-founder of networks for women & gender minorities, internationals and LGBTQIA+ folks. Since 2022, Cécile has been active as a speaker on topics such as sexism, microaggressions, allyship, and the LGBTQIA+ community. (she/her) Tolu Tolu is a Director at Deloitte UK with a strong passion for promoting diversity and inclusion. As a Black LGBTQ+ role model and intersectionality advocate, she has presented keynote speeches and guest lectures at numerous events both internally and externally to the workplace. Tolu's areas of expertise include discussing the Black experience in the UK, intersectional identities, and LGBTQ+ inclusion. She has been recognized for her advocacy work, including being named on the OUTstanding Future Leaders list in 2020 and 2021 for her efforts in championing inclusion. In addition, Tolu was recently recognized as the highly commended Inspirational Role Model of the Year 2022 DIVA Awards. (he/him) Liam Originally from Trinidad and Tobago but based in London, Liam currently works in Diversity and Inclusion for EY. A early champion of LGBT+ inclusivity, he was previously the global co-chair of HyPride , Hyatt 's LGBT+ Employee Resource Group, for several years leading on strategies and campaigns to engage internal and external LGBT+ and ally communities. Ranking fourth in the 2019 Top 50 Outstanding & Yahoo Finance LGBT+ Future Leaders list, he’s also spoken at the House of Commons on the impact of anti-LGBT+ laws across the Commonwealth. - Ale Rebon Portillo
(he/she/they) Ale Ale was born in a small town in Venezuela to Spanish-Venezuelan parents and raised in the Catholic faith–they identify as trans non-binary. With a diverse background that includes work as an electronic engineer, fashion advisor, customer care assistant, and software testing consultant manager, Ale has always been drawn to activism and advocating for marginalized groups. In Venezuela, Ale's activist work included fighting for the inclusion of people with HIV/AIDS in the social security system. Ale also spent a decade training to become a Catholic priest, doing pastoral work with marginalized groups in Venezuela, Italy, the USA, and Belgium. Currently living in the UK, Ale continues to collaborate with LGBTQ+ groups to promote diversity and inclusion both inside and outside of the workplace. In addition to their activism and advocacy work, Ale has also developed strong leadership skills and a passion for workplace allyship. Ale is committed to promoting intersectionality and combatting LGBTQ+ discrimination in all aspects of life. They are also passionate about exploring the intersections of identity and faith and finding ways to create more inclusive spaces for people of all backgrounds. Slur Derogatory terms used as insults towards marginalised groups of people. Many slurs have been commonly used in the past but are now seen as socially unacceptable. They work as a Director at Warburg Pincus , a global private equity firm. In addition, Bachul sits on the Advisory Board of the Public Rights Project, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization committed to bridging the gap between our laws and the realities of marginalized communities. Bachul's unique perspective allows them to be an advocate for intersectional inclusion in both their personal and professional lives. Bachul is also a dedicated advocate for gender-affirming care and body positivity, using their platform to promote greater understanding and acceptance of diverse gender identities and bodies. They strongly believe in the importance of culture change and workplace allyship to create safe and affirming environments for marginalized individuals. In their free time, Bachul enjoys surfing, swimming, music, and sharing their unfiltered trans/queerness in traditionally cis and heterosexual spaces.
