She works to elevate the RAPP brand both externally and within Omnicom and harnesses her passion for DE&I to craft and execute initiatives across the work RAPP builds for clients as well as recruiting, engagement and retention, aiming to make RAPP an industry-leading diverse, inclusive and equitable agency. - Puberty Blockers
Puberty Blockers Puberty blockers, otherwise known as puberty inhibitors, hormones blockers or gonadotrophin-releasing hormone analogues, are a type of drug that can be used to stall the onset of puberty in adolescents by blocking hormones like testosterone and estrogen. Puberty blockers are used to treat precocious puberty and to delay the onset of puberty in transgender children, allowing them more time to explore their gender identity without developing unwanted sex characteristics. It affects everything from circulation to digestion to metabolism to immunity. Neurodiversity The range of differences in individual brain function and behaviuoral traits, regarded as part of normal variation in the human population. (he/him) Lex Lex is a freelance Inclusion and Accessibility Consultant who is passionate about empowering organisations to develop equitable working practices. Lex brings to his work a combination of professional and learned experience in psychology, research, and people management, in addition to his lived experience as a queer, disabled, and neurodivergent person. Lex is an expert in accessibility, inclusive organisational policy, inclusive recruitment, psychological safety, inclusive language and terminology, microaggressions, quantitative data analysis and visualisation, and utilising data to inform organisational strategy. Colonialism The policy or practice of acquiring full or partial political control over another country, occupying it with settlers, enforcing new laws, religions, and exploiting it economically. LGBTQIA communities were targeted by colonial laws and policies, many of which remain in place today. (she/they) Cindy Cindy is a queer African content creator, digital marketer, and political analyst with a deep commitment to fostering inclusive spaces and amplifying marginalized voices. She has worked with grassroots organizations in Kenya to organize digital campaigns on gender, race, class, sexuality, and disability, and facilitated discussions on privilege and intersectionality for young feminist leaders. She also co-hosted a podcast challenging monolithic African narratives in mainstream media, with listeners in 34 countries. They are dedicated to centering the voices of young Africans, especially women and LGBTQIA+ individuals, and inspiring authentic conversations about their identities and lived experiences. - Luke Christian
he/him Luke Luke is a fashion enthusiast and business owner based in Harrogate, where he has lived all his life. Luke's childhood was not without challenges. He attended a "hearing/mainstream" school from year seven to year nine but found it incredibly difficult to fit in as the only deaf person in attendance. His peers recommended that he attend a "deaf boarding" school, which ultimately helped him feel more connected to his community. It was Luke's love for fashion and the way it inspires and instills confidence that led him to create his own fashion brand, DEAF IDENTITY . As a deaf, gay male business owner, he aims to raise awareness for the deaf community through fashion while challenging stigmas surrounding it. Health at every size Known by the acronym HAES, a social and health promotion movement that challenges social stigma based on weight, size and shape. The movement emphasises body positivity, health outcomes, and eating and movement for wellbeing rather than weight control. < Back to Glossary

Grey Also known as grey-A, this is an umbrella term which describes people who experience attraction occasionally, rarely, or only under certain conditions.
