Beginning with a PhD on theatrical responses to the AIDS crisis and the evolution of LGBTQ theatre, she has since expanded her work into Queer cultural history, including writing books on TV, Film and Welsh Queer History. (they/them) Han Han is a queer youth worker and postgraduate researcher. Based in Sheffield, UK, they have a decade of experience in supporting LGBTQ+ young people and delivering workshops and training for young people and adults around gender and sexuality, sexual health and healthy relationships. They have led youth projects that highlight the experience of neurodivergent and disabled LGBTQ+ young people. Their PhD research examines LGBTQ+ young people's experience of the foster care system in England. They are a founding member of Sheffield Queer Parents and with their partner have 2 incredible kids via known-donor conception. Han is deeply committed to supporting people to develop empathy and understanding across difference and to amplifying the voice of marginalised young people.
