Currently based in the UK, Rakshet is employed by a leading consumer goods company, where they oversee product development and project management. (he/they) Lee Lee lived and studied in 7 countries before he finally found a home in Barcelona to raise his son. He has since then accessed his true identity as a trans man, and has become passionate about the power and wisdom that the body holds. He facilitates the trans and non-binary group at the LGBTQ+ centre in Barcelona and became a meditation, breathwork and QiQong instructor, bringing these practices to his corporate team and direct community as often as he can. As an expert in both cancer care and LGBTIQ+ advocacy, Stewart speaks passionately about the intersectionality of these two fields. - VAWG
VAWG VAWG is an acronym for "Violence Against Women and Girls". This umbrella term covers domestic violence, homicide, sexual assault and harassment, honour-based abuse, stalking, coercion and controlling behaviour inflicted upon women and girls. Healthcare Healthcare is a highly contentious subject when it comes to the experiences of people from under-represented groups. Many face difficulty finding providers who are knowledgeable about their needs, encounter discrimination from insurers or providers, or delay or forego care because of concerns about how they will be treated. In the absence of concrete legislation prohibiting healthcare discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, LGBTQ+ people are often left with little recourse when discrimination occurs. < Back to Glossary

Needs A physiological or psychological requirement for the well-being of an organism. In other words, a need is something that you can’t be okay without. This can range from food and water to human contact and socialization. The reason it's important to understand and satisfy our needs is because we feel emotional, and sometimes physical, pain when they're not being met. You may be in pain and not know why or which needs are not being fulfilled. When our needs are met, we feel happy, grateful, safe, loved, playful, alert, and calm. < Back to Glossary
