Stonewall

The Stonewall Riots were a series of protests that began in response to the raiding of the Stonewall Inn, a gay bar in New York City, on June 28 1969. The riots were a historic turning point for the Gay Liberation Movement and the first Pride marches were held on the one year anniversary of the riots.
