Shawn is the Founder and Executive Director of Dem Bois Inc., an organization that advocates for access to gender-affirming care and surgeries for trans men of color, irrespective of their economic status. Shawn is dedicated to addressing intersectionality in relation to gender identity and promoting access to non-biased healthcare. As someone who has experienced the importance of transition-related care firsthand, Shawn is committed to advocating for others who are seeking similar care. He identifies as trans masculine.
